Aaron Osborne interjú

Másodikán este megérkezett Budapestre a Wolves idei első import játékosa, Aaron Osborne.

A reptéren a Wolves vezetőedzője, Kovács István fogadta.

A gimnázium kezdetéig sok különböző poszton kipróbáltam magam.

Felsőfokú tanulmányaimat a William Penn Egyetemen végeztem, ahol szintén running back poszton játszottam.

Hogyan kerültél kapcsolatba a Farkasokkal?

A Pro Hunt vezetője Darrell Tate jelezte nekem hogy a Farkasok érdeklődnek irántam. Azonnal csatlakozni akartam a csapathoz.

Hogyan kerültél kapcsolatba a Pro Hunt-tal?

Tárt karokkal fogadtak a srácok.

Houstoniként, a Texans a kedvenc NFL csapatod?

A kedvenc játékosom Cam Newton.

Aaron Osborne welcome interview

Aaron Osborne, one of the Wolves' new import players has arrived to Budapest. He was greeted at the airport by the Wolves’ head coach István Kovács. Aaron finished William Penn University last year, so he is quite young. He first practiced with the team on Friday, and on Sunday he travelled to Graz, Austria for the Wolves' scrimmage with Austrian Football League competitors Graz Giants.

Let's start with the basics. Please let us know a thing or two about your football background.

Growing up in the state of Texas football is like a religion. As a child growing up my cousins and friends were always playing 7 on 7 or tackle football, if grass was around.

The first time I played organized football was in 7th grade, I played cornerback. I played every year going into highschool and I played many different positions throughout that time. Once my sophomore year came I was one of the few sophomores that was on the high school varsity team. By my junior year I became the starting running back receiving some all-district awards. I also played some cornerback my junior year. My senior year was a replication of my junior year.

I also played in college at William Penn University as a slot back in a triple option offense earning an honorable mention my senior year.

What were your first feelings when you landed in Hungary and you were greeted by István at the airport?

I was excited to be here because this was my first time out of the country and I get to play the game I love, while meeting new people and learning to live within a different culture.

How did you first get involved with the Wolves?

One day Darrell Tate, the founder of Pro Hunt told me that a team was interested in me. I instantly was interested in joining the team.

How did you first get involved with Pro Hunt?

A few months ago I was e-mailing many different coaches and teams. One of the coaches I spoke with from Poland told me to contact Darrell Tate. Darrell told me where he was hosting his next Pro Hunt combine and I marked that date on my calendar.

How do you like Budapest so far?

Budapest is a very beautiful city and the people here are as well. The city can be a little confusing at times for me because I don't really know how the city is set up, but with the help from my coaches and teammates I can get around just fine.

What are your impressions of the team after the first couple of practices?

The guys on the team welcome me with open arms. Most of the guys on the team tell me that they will help me with any issues I may face, so it is comforting to know that I always have help.

Coming from Houston, are the Texans your favourite NFL team?

I like the Houston Texans because they are the closest team to my home, but I do not have a specific team I would call my favorite. But Cam Newton is my favorite football player.
